Education is the most powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty. OTTE A R Foundation is committed to ensuring that every child — regardless of their circumstances — has access to quality education that empowers them to build a better future.

Our Mission in Education

We work in some of Uganda’s most remote and underserved communities, where children face significant barriers to education including long distances to schools, lack of learning materials, and financial constraints that force families to prioritize survival over schooling.

What We Do

• School Infrastructure: Construction and renovation of classrooms, libraries, and sanitation facilities in rural schools.
• Scholarship Programs: Full and partial scholarships for bright students from disadvantaged backgrounds, covering tuition, uniforms, and supplies.
• Learning Materials: Distribution of textbooks, notebooks, writing materials, and digital learning tools.
• Teacher Training: Professional development workshops for teachers in rural schools to improve teaching quality and student outcomes.
• Early Childhood Development: Establishment of community-based early learning centers for children aged 3-6.
• Girls’ Education: Targeted programs to keep girls in school, including menstrual hygiene support and mentorship.

Our Impact

We have supported over 2,000 children through our education programs. Our scholarship recipients have gone on to become teachers, nurses, and community leaders — creating a ripple effect of positive change.
